Piped Out
I’m giving Canada all my spare time —
how delightfully strange!
She’s sending me her leftover cold —
I’d say we’ve a fair exchange.
What’s been got up has to come down —
slick as the price of oil —
down until buried underneath
six feet of good rich soil.
Lawyers won’t ever be shy of work —
who’s too proud not to be bought?
Money can ruin things better than
common sense could not!
So what went around comes back hard —
ill I’ve sown you cannot reap.
Like the good book says, she is unwanted
who sells herself on the cheap.
