As For You

Although yes, you’re man of many talents,
pity one you lack’s a sense of balance.

              Impossible!—to fly far when you’re heavy-hearted,
so lose the weight. Resume the flight you started.

For sixteen years you dared not lay your dead
to rest, save but to hide them in your head.

Past the void they carved for you endure
your own long night, its silence to inure.

Let’s let you pick out your own attire
with or without the influence of our desire.

And as for you, you’re whom we write ours of
when we don’t lie to lie about our love.
